According to research, India’s passport ranking rose to 80 in 2023 from 87 in 2022, granting its holders visa-free entry to up to 57 countries.
Singapore has replaced Japan as the country with the most powerful passport in the world, allowing visa-free travel to 192 international locations, according to the most recent Henley Passport Index. Senegal and Togo are the other two nations placed alongside India at position 80.
With visa-free travel to 190 countries, Germany, Italy, and Spain have risen to the second position, while holders with Japanese passports now join those of Austria, Finland, France, Luxembourg, South Korea, and Swedes. in third place with visa-free travel to 189 locations.
The International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) data, which makes up a substantial portion of the Henley Passport Index rankings, is used to determine how many places passport holders can visit without a prior visa.

According to the study, Pakistan, a neighbor of India, has the fourth-worst passport in the world, granting holders entry without a visa to only 33 nations.
Afghanistan, North Korea, Papua New Guinea, and Turkmenistan are the four nations with a score of zero on the Henley Openness Index, preventing holders of any passports from traveling there without a visa.
